THE SOLUTION

Think Like an Admissions Reader.

Each week during the bootcamp, we'll focus on one part of the application.

First, I'll teach you what admissions readers are trying to understand and how I approach that part of the application. Then we'll review real drafts from the cohort together.

We'll ask:

What's coming through clearly?
What's missing, repetitive, or too generic?
What could make this stronger?

You'll learn from feedback on your own materials and by reviewing others.

WEEK-BY-WEEK

We Will Cover...

Week 1: Profile Assessment

Break down academics, prerequisites, technical preparation, and school fit — including why the same profile can read very differently across programs.

Week 2: Fill the Gaps

Identify what your profile is still missing, then make a realistic plan for recommenders, projects, coursework, or other evidence you can still add before deadlines.

Week 3: Your CV & Narrative

Decide which experiences actually strengthen your application, what they prove, and what admissions should understand about you before they ever reach your SoP.

Week 4: The SoP (Statement of Purpose)

Build the first draft around the questions admissions actually needs answered: Why this field? Why graduate school? Why now? And why does this degree make sense given what you've already done?

Week 5: The SoP 2nd Draft

Now we read it like admissions. Cut the generic claims, strengthen the evidence, fix the jumps in logic, and make sure your strongest points aren't buried or repeated.

Week 6: Holistic Application Review

Put the transcript, CV, essays, recommendations, and program choice side by side. Does the evidence match the story you're telling — or are there contradictions, gaps, or unanswered questions that could make a reader hesitate?

At Carnegie Mellon University, I served on the AdCom for MSCF (MS in Computational Finance), participating in 300+ graduate admissions decisions.

So I have seen firsthand which candidates get accepted, rejected, or waitlisted.

Over the past 13 years, I’ve reviewed hundreds of graduate application materials and coached applicants admitted to programs including Stanford, Berkeley, Yale, Columbia, Duke, and Cornell.

I’m not just teaching you how to write better materials. I’m teaching you how to read your application from the other side.

6-Week Application Bootcamp

Instead of paying for separate profile reviews, CV feedback, SoP reviews, and admissions strategy sessions, you'll work through the application with a cohort: from profile assessment through final review for $800.

When: Fridays, 10:30am - 12pm ET, Sept 25 - Oct 30

Sessions: 6 × 90-minute live group sessions on Zoom

Cohort: Only 6 applicants per cohort
